Overview:

The Science:

• Based on six clinical studies for HN019™, it is shown to improve immune function by increasing phagocytic capacity, improving NK-cell activity, increasing the number of bifidobacteria in the intestine of the elderly and improving colonic transit time.
• Based on a study published in Clinical Nutrition, the HOWARU®Protect Sport formulation (Bifidobacterium animalislactis Bl-04 (Bl-04))promoted a greater level of physical activity; significantly extended exercise duration; significantly improved training intensity and delayed the onset of respiratory infections.
• The results from a clinical study on HOWARU® Restore found that the group of volunteers subject to gut stress who consumed the probiotic had their beneficial bacteria restored to pre-stress levels and the entire gut microflora returned more rapidly to normal.
• It has been shown that after a 14-day dietary supplementation with HOWARU® Protect Prenatal+ containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001™ and Lactobacillus acidohphilus La-14® plus lactoferrin, that there is colonization of the vagina of healthy women with these microbes and that the colonization persists at least one week after intervention compared to the placebo. In addition, the Probiotics in Pregnancy Study has shown that Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001™ supports the development of immune health of infants and children by significantly reducing the prevalence of eczema and allergic sensitization compared to the placebo after 2, 4, and 6 year follow-up.
